What is Dish
Network?
Dish network is a satellite
television transmission service similar to that of direct TV.
Established in 1996 by echo star the company is now the fore
runner in satellite television communication system. Dish
network within some years of being established became an
instant hit especially in the country Side. This is because
dish network is a satellite television network system Which
solves the problems of range and distortion by transmitting
broadcast signals from satellites orbiting the Earth? Since
satellites are high in the sky, there are a lot more customers
in the line of site. Television systems using dish network
transmit and receive radio signals using specialized antennas
called satellite dishes.
Dish network provides you with three kinds of dish antennas
depending on your requirements. They are
DISH 300
This was among the first antennae dish networks released for
commercial use. It uses one LNB to obtain signals from the
119°W orbital location and is commonly used as a second dish
to receive additional high-definition or ethnic programming
from either the 148°W or 61.5°W orbital locations
DISH 500
Being the next generation of DISH 300 and DirecTV dishes it
had the distinct advantage of obtaining signals from Echo
Star’s two adjacent satellite locations for a theoretical
500-channel capacity. The DISH 500 was stated with serious
business intention. In order to migrate existing customers to
DISH 500, DISH Network provided value-added channels in
addition to local channels that can only be received with the
DISH 500 and newer systems
DISH 1000
In spite of all this capacity result, provided very large
capacity for local-into-local service, nationwide programming
Echo Star still needed to fulfill the dream of nationwide
high-definition television and conceived the DISH 1000 system
to receive signals from 110°W, 119°W and 129°W orbital
locations. Originally, DISH Network high-definition
subscribers required two separate satellite dishes but now
with the invention of a single transponder system it requires
only single antennae.
